Royal Palm Galapagos
In 2011 the owner of an unprofitable hotel in Galapagos Islands, Sir John Madejski, asked Inn-telligence to assess the existing business and to make recommendations for its future. Whilst in the wonderful location, and originally a member of Leading Hotels of The World, the hotel had been run badly for many years and the facilities and service standards had been allowed to deteriorate. As a result, the hotel had a poor reputation in the market.
After a full assessment of the estate and the business, Inn-telligence produced a comprehensive report with recommendations for a refurbishment and rebranding solutions. Subsequently Inn-telligence entered into a management contract with The Royal Palm Hotel. As part of the business recovery strategy, Inn-telligence undertook a $1million refurbishment project which was delivered within the agreed budget. During the renovation period, the operational reporting systems were restructured, new training implemented and a full sales & marketing strategy initiated.
