B+B Belgravia was the pilot for the concept. The gorgeous period building belongs to the Grosvenor Estate and is located in one of the most desirable neighbourhoods in London. When the old B+B first became available to the market there was a lot of interest to acquire it.
The Grosvenor Estate asked interested parties to formally submit their plans and budget for the development and use of the buildings. The intention was to award the most appropriate and innovative concept with a free sixty-year lease. The B+B team won the competition.
Renovation involved the complete reconfiguration of the internal spaces whilst retaining all the original features and complying with strict planning regulations. Apart from a good night’s sleep and a great breakfast, the concept also includes comfortable social space, where guests can relax any time, and an open contemporary farmhouse style kitchen with breakfast cooked to order. In 2008 the second building on Ebury street was acquired as part of B+B Belgravia. It was redeveloped as studio apartments for those who prefer more privacy.
Both hotel and apartments are successful businesses up to now and produce sustainable profit to the investor.
